- SHI DS3, with the obverse cud break at the right border outside the letters RE fully formed. We note a light woodgrain appearance to olive and golden-brown patina, the surfaces attractively original in preservation. Centering is good, and both sides retain universally bold detail to the major design elements. A few faint scratches and hairlines in the obverse field require magnification to discern and are easily overlooked in most viewing situations. Pleasingly smooth overall, in fact, this is a solid mid-grade example of both the type and Maris number.
