- 1796 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. BB-65, B-5. Rarity-4. Large Date, Small Letters. EF-40 (NGC). This boldly and originally toned example is dressed in blended charcoal, steel and silver-gray patina, the deepest shades confined to the obverse periphery, the lightest the high points of the design elements. Well centered in strike with plenty of sharp striking detail remaining, this is a desirable EF type candidate from the challenging Draped Bust, Small Eagle silver dollar series of 1795 to 1798.
