1854 Octagonal $1. BG-532. Rarity-4-. Liberty Head. AU-53 (PCGS). Medium olive-gold with supportive luster in the protected areas. "Usually VF to AU; evidently rare in Mint State," notes the Breen-Gillio reference on California small denomination gold. Modestly circulated but free of troublesome handling marks.
