Lot Description: 1873 Gold Dollar. Close 3. MS-62 PL (PCGS). Brilliant with light green-gold color and notable reflectiveness in the fields on each side. Some lightness of striking shows at the center two figures of the date. From the early dies of this year with "Close 3" in date, a feature thought to resemble an "8," causing it to be modified later.
