1874 Seated Liberty Quarter. Arrows. Proof-65+ Cameo (PCGS). Secure Holder. This is a splendid Gem with vibrant, fully mirrored fields shining through multicolored toning. The devices are set apart with a satin-to-softly frosted finish, and they also possess the pinpoint striking detail that one should expect from proof production methods. The toning is simply outstanding, both sides awash in a target-like distribution of sea-green, cobalt-blue, reddish-lavender and golden-apricot colors. There are hardly even trivial hairlines in evidence, as befits the premium Gem grade assigned by PCGS. A popular two-year Seated Quarter type at a conditionally rare level of preservation.
