1846-D Liberty Head Half Eagle. VF-30 (PCGS). Rich khaki-gold patina with highlights of pale rose outlining the devices. Well defined in a mid grade Dahlonega Mint half eagle, this coin would do equally well in a mintmarked type set or specialized Southern gold collection. Scarce from a mintage of 19,303 pieces.
