Lot Description

Although a fair number of these were struck--215,000 in all, not many survived in high grades of Mint State. In fact Gems are virtually unobtainable while patience is required to find one this well preserved. Rich satiny mint luster and a sharp strike are evident. Clean in terms of handling marks and an important first year of issue of this denomination.
