Not too many dates in the Walking Liberty half-dollar series offer serious challenges in only the middling Fine/VF grades, but 1921-D needs no introduction as one of the exceedingly difficult dates to locate at a middle-grade. By far, most seen grade only AG to Good at best. This Fine-15 specimen draws out the best possible characteristics for that assignment, showing gorgeous medium-grey patina that assuredly is 100% original. Smooth, strictly honest wear accounts for the grade, as there are no disturbances nor mentionable abrasions whatsoever.
