- Lot Description
- A brilliant GEM RED example of this conditionally challenging early Denver mint Lincoln cent. Sharply struck devices stand out against very smooth, defect free surfaces. Satiny red luster blooms all over with hints of magenta, orange, and rose hues. A strong glass reveals a few minute traces of contact, none of which detract from the exceptional eye appeal. Housed in an old green tag holder. PCGS 136, NGC 22, CAC 17. The most recent PCGS/CAC example to sell in auction realized $2,160 in November 2021. While the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $2,000, the CAC CPG value is $2,400. VERY RARE any finer, this is a wonderful example that will no doubt be a welcome addition to any carefully assembled Registry Set collection. Cert. Number 4811209 PCGS # 2527
