- Lot Description
- A highly lustrous GEM, bordering on the SUPERB classification. The surfaces are incredibly lustrous with impressive totally original orange-golden patina with tan accents. Sharply struck up devices stand out against the vibrantly lustrous surfaces. Some micro-flecks are seen on the obverse attesting to the originality. The reverse rim has a number of tiny breaks or cuds. The eye appeal is really neat. PCGS 53, NGC 15, CAC 23. There are seven in MS66+ and just a single MS67 graded higher. The only MS66+ CAC to sell in auction realized $6,600 in August 2018. The MS67 has never sold in auction but would bring over $20,000 if it should. A great coin for any Indian Head cent collection or specialized Civil War set. Bidding will be very strong for sure! Cert. Number 41856344 PCGS # 2070.00
