- 146.2 grains. Another nice example, this one struck from a more typical die state, showing the diagonal crack across the shield. Another short die crack connects the M of UNUM to the rim. This die continues to fall into disrepair in later states, but this is a fairly often seen middle die state, SHI Die State 2. Nice light brown with tan devices and mostly glossy surfaces. Scattered marks are seen, a few trivial fissures noted on both sides like the one across the plowhandles, a bit of dark encrustation hidden in protected areas. This is a wholesome and attractive example of the "Batman Shield" reverse, an ideal type coin or a fine way to include this variety in any collection.
