- Description du lot
- Here is a lovely, totally original 28-S that borders on the GEM category. Delicate, peripheral toning in deeper cobalt and burnt orange toning that creates a beautiful frame around both sides. Sharply struck save for the central portions, which is typical for the date. Only using a strong glass can we even detect even the most tiny of marks. The eye appeal is bold, and highly original. PCGS 179, NGC 141, CAC 22. The only CAC-approved MS64+ was the NGC-graded Col. Green- Eric Newman coin that brought $6,463 in November 2013. PCGS MS64+s have sold in the $4,230 to $4,818 range and the CU value is currently listed at $5,600. RARE any finer, making this near-GEM a great price point for the advanced collector on a budget. Cert. Number 81605735 PCGS # 6588
