1853 Braided Hair Cent. N-9. Rarity-2. Grellman State-b. MS-63BN (PCGS). Bold steel brown on the obverse with a nuance of pale blue. The reverse is similar but with traces of faded red remaining in the recesses. A few small obverse nicks commensurate with the grade and faint spot on the neck. The middle die state, but early.
