1829 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-103. Rarity-2. MS-63+ (NGC). CAC. This handsome piece sports satiny surfaces that are smooth enough to suggest a near-Gem grade. Attractively original in preservation, both sides are dressed in sandy-orange patina that deepens to reddish-russet at the borders. Fully struck and just shy of Condition Census for the 1829 Overton-103 dies, we anticipate keen interest in this offering among both Mint State type collectors and Capped Bust half dollar specialists.
