1841 Braided Hair Half Cent. B-1. Rarity-6. Original. Proof-53 (PCGS). The large size of the berries in the reverse wreath confirms the B-1 die marriage, as well as this coin's status as an original striking of the proof-only 1841 Braided Hair Cent. This sharply struck example retains near-complete detail as well as the broad, sharply squared rims. Obverse contact marks are noted, as is a somewhat glossy texture to gray-brown patina.
