- 1722-H French Colonies Sou, or 9 Deniers. La Rochelle Mint. W-11840. VF-25. 88.1 grains. Lovely chocolate brown with lighter devices. Reverse aligned to 1 o'clock with TUM SIT NOM interrupted by the rim. Finely granular under a glass, some very minor vertical striations atop the obverse, minor old buildup around legends, but very pretty and even in appearance. A good-looking coin with above average color, sharpness, and surfaces. PCGS# 158629. Provenance: From the Ted L. Craige Collection.
