Lot Description

1859-O Liberty Seated Half Dollar. WB-103, MPD-001. MS-63 (PCGS). Deep golden-gray with lively underlying luster supporting rich crimson, sunset orange, and rose iridescence the obverse rim, the reverse afire with pale sea-green, powder blue, and rose iridescence. Nicely struck save for a few of the obverse stars. The bottom of an errant 9 is suspended from the base of the rock above the existing 9 in the date. A scarce and elusive variety. PCGS# 6297.
