Michael Scott Collection. 7 graded MS-62, 22 higher at NGC. A solid strike brings up all of the important definition, and even the slenderest of details are generally well rendered, missing only very brief portions of the eagle's lowest feathers. Certainly as viewed from the reverse, this significantly tougher half-dollar appears fully choice, and even the obverse seems only slightly abraded. It is true that a limited number of faint, fuzzy hairlines scatter over the cheek, but the obverse still retains some light bronze-grey patina, against a nearly fully white reverse.
