Lot Description

1874-CC Liberty Head Double Eagle. AU-50 (NGC). Natural orange-gold with vestiges of lutser and good visual appeal. Rarely are these early Carson City coins found with pleasing surfaces, and this coin is clearly finer than most encountered. A couple of milling marks are present on the obverse, but for a moderately circulated coin of this date, the present offering is quite compelling.
