D.W. COLLECTION. The first year of issue for the Barber quarter and the first branch mint half dollar struck since 1878. Deeply, but not dull or drab toned with a glowing satin frost that brings out the details of the boldly struck devices. PCGS 40, NGC 28, CAC 6. The only CAC-approved example to sell in auction realized $2,225 in an October 2014. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $2,750. We can see this lovely example bringing a price in that range. Cert.
