VAM-6, Top-100. For some reason, the grading services generally insist on leaving off the easily-identifiable VAM listing for the 1880/79-CC even though it is one of the most popular, easily ranking in the Top-100 (maybe top ten?) of the well-loved varieties. At any rate, the present piece adds in the appeal of a rock-solid gem grade, indicative of a very clean cheek and a captivating silver-bright aspect. While not nearly prooflike, as is often seen for the issue, noticeable cameo effect results from crystalline frosty texture on the portrait against sheening, contact-free fields.
