Here is an exciting proof-only example of the 3-cent nickel series for which there is insufferably few collectors active today. The series in proof or circulation strike format is replete with varieties, anomalies and rare dates, yet remains approachable for collectors of even average resources. Nicely frosted motifs contrast with the partially mirrored fields to inspire NGC's cameo designation and the cataloger could find no faults worthy of mention. A strikethrough off the reverse left adds interest.
