1785 Vermont Copper. Landscape. RR-2, Bressett 1-A, W-2005. Rarity-3. Late Die State. VERMONTS. Fine-12 Planchet Flaws. 115.74 grains. Golden-brown high points against a chocolate-brown background. Natural obverse planchet defects at the rim at 2, 7, and 11 o'clock, another flaw at right end of mountains, heavy die break up from rim crosses 8 of date and the middle of the plow, reverse with heavy natural planchet flaws at the rim, center, and other places, peripheral legend weak throughout. A piece that should be seen before bidding strategy is planned. PCGS# 539. Provenance: Paper envelope with pedigree and attribution notes included.
