THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION HEART POUNDING BEAUTY! A vibrant rainbow of navy blue and fiery orange toning graces the mirrorlike fields of this FINEST GRADED overdate. Razor sharp precision of the design element detail is enhanced by rich, mint frost. Under strong magnification there is a couple of light contact marks near Miss Liberty’s cap. Although the veracity of the overdate status has been called into question by numismatists, (some believe the raised extra metal on the 7 was caused by debris in the 7 punch) it is nonetheless recognized as an overdate in both the Guide Book of United States Coins and the Cherrypicker’s reference book. It is therefore an attributed variety by both PCGS and NGC. Pedigreed to the Eugene Gardner Collection, Part III. PCGS 1, NGC 0. CAC 2. This is the only + designated piece. PCGS Price Guide value is $17,500. An MS64+ has never traded at auction. Prepare for a shoot out at the OK corral, as it were, when this coin crosses the auction block. A prized, GEM, SOLE FINEST KNOWN piece that belongs in the most advanced cabinet and worthy of a premium bid. Cert. Number 83811708 PCGS # 96355.00
