- Perhaps the most widely replicated Colonial-era issue, one is well advised to purchase a "bar copper" (NGC now uses the admittedly more proper term: "bar token") certified by one of the recognized grading services. For the grade of just XF-40, this is an utterly exceptional example, brimming with sweet chocolate patina that retains delicate crumbles of verdigris. Hidden within the recesses between some of the bars are ancient browned-over hairlines.
