- 1852 Pattern Gold Dollar. Judd-138, Pollock-165. Rarity-7-. Silver. Thin Planchet. Plain Edge. Proof-63 (PCGS). Annular pattern with USA arcing above the central hole, date below on the obverse, reverse with a wreath of laurel leaves consisting of seven pairs of leaves around the central hole. Frosty mattelike surfaces offer a tiny splash of crimson at the date. <em>The finest of just three examples of Judd-138 "Thin" certified by PCGS. </em>An unusual "holey" pattern that is rare across the board.
