Lot Description

Richly original surfaces are dressed in blended mauve-gray, cobalt blue, antique gold and pinkish-rose toning that is brighter with more varied color on the reverse. Both sides are a bit lightly struck in the centers, typical for the issue, yet bold to sharp elsewhere. Billowy mint luster throughout with an impressively smooth appearance overall. While more than 2.7 million 1892-O Morgan dollars were coined, the number of Gem or finer survivors is very low and the certified numbers are likely inflated in hopes of attaining an even higher grade. This is high end example fit for inclusion in and advanced collection.
