Lot Description

1858-D Liberty Head Half Eagle. Winter 43-HH. VF-30 (PCGS). OGH--First Generation. Sharply defined in most areas, there is enough detail remaining to suggest an EF grade. The surfaces are curiously glossy in texture with light hairlining, and the VF-30 designation is obviously a net grade from PCGS to compensate for a light cleaning. Warm golden-honey color overall, the scarcity of this low mintage (15,362 pieces) Dahlonega Mint $5 issue is sure to result in keen bidder interest in this piece. PCGS# 8278. NGC ID: 25V9.
