1847 Braided Hair Cent. N-39. Rarity-3-. Grellman State-a. AU-58 (PCGS) CAC. Pleasing olive and light steel surfaces. A few shallow marks are noted under magnification, but are not distracting otherwise. Sharply struck from the dies in their early states. The fine reverse die lines extending from the first T in STATES to the O in ONE are clearly defined, but fade in the later states. The N-39 attribution and Tucker provenance are on the PCGS label.
