1850-O Liberty Head Quarter Eagle. Winter-1. AU-58 (NGC). Warmly patinated orange-olive surfaces retain appreciable luster in a light satin texture. Pleasingly smooth in hand for a pre-Civil War era Southern gold coin that saw actual, if brief commercial use, this is a noteworthy example of a median rarity in the New Orleans Mint quarter eagle series.
