Lot Description

Ms. Anna's Collection. Normal mintmark, late reverse die. A network of fine die cracks connects USofA and TWENTY CENTS on the reverse, but more than one such die display this kind of fascinating evidence of impending failure for this sadly neglected ultra-brief series. Mossy frost-grey and tobacco-slate toning splashes across either side and despite the PCGS indication of slight circulation -- an accurate call -- considerable luster still flows through the fields.
