Lot 192 1793 S-6 R3 Wreath Cent with Vine & Bars Edge PCGS graded AU53.Choice glossy light to medium chocolate brown with frost in protected areas on both sides. The surfaces are smooth and this Wreath Cent has outstanding eye appeal. Just a few trivial marks from flawless. The notable marks are a tiny planchet lamination in the field above the bust tip, a thin planchet crease in the hair below the L in LIBERTY, a very small rim bruise left of the date, and a couple shallow planchet flakes at the edge outside the border beads at the top of the reverse. All but the tiny rim bruise are mint-made flaws, and none of them is significant. MDS, Breen state III, with a dull horizontal wave in the field behind the portrait extending across the portrait to the chin. Our grade is VF35+, very close to EF40. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 1 finer in AU55 for the variety, none finer. PCGS #35450.Estimate Value $20,000 - UP
