1870 Pattern Dime. Judd-857, Pollock-937. Rarity-7. Proof-65 RB (PCGS). Bright and reflective on the obverse, the reverse shows a touch of fading with greenish-iridescence surrounding the devices. One or two minor specks, common to these delicate copper Proofs. The obverse has a bust of Liberty facing right, wearing her familiar cap with three stars at the front, loose ribbon below on her shoulder. Surrounding her is UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, below is the Motto IN GOD WE TRUST on an thin carefully placed ribbon banner. The reverse has a small open wreath of laurel and oak, within states 10 CENTS, surrounding the wreath is STANDARD SILVER below the wreath is the date 1870. Struck in copper with a reeded edge.
