Lot Description

1793 Liberty Cap Half Cent. Head Left. C-2. Rarity-3. VG-10 (PCGS). A classic one-year-only type issue from the first year of official coinage operations at the Philadelphia Mint. Medium golden brown with lighter high points. Numerous tiny marks are present, as befits the grade, the most egregious of these on the obverse rim at 3 o'clock. Reverse die aligned to about 250 degrees, top of wreath at 2:30 or so. PCGS# 1000. Provenance: From the Wilmington Collection of Half Cents.
