Lot Description

Tied for second highest graded at PCGS and finer than the Incline Collection coin that we sold in July 2020. Chrome-like silver-nickel luster flashes over generally clean, GEMMY surfaces. Exquisite in strike every detail of Jefferson's beloved Monticello is fully and crisply rendered. The eye appeal is nice! PCGS 19, NGC 0. Only two examples have sold in auction, both back in 2016, one for $1,234 and the other for $617. Collectors Universe value is listed at $850. We sold a MS67 FS, in October 2017 for $9,694, more recently an example brought $6,000 in June 2018. An important opportunity that does not come up that often. Cert. Number 37905819 PCGS # 84065.00
