Lot Description

Undated (Possibly Circa 1793) Washington Success Medal. Large Size. W-10905, Baker-265A. URS-4. Brass. Plain Edge. AU-55 (PCGS). A very nice example of a scarce type, this Choice AU is boldly defined in all areas save for in the center of the reverse. Color is mostly even brassy-gold, although we do note a few swirls of deeper tinting scattered about on both sides. A prominent obverse die break (as struck) is clearly seen bisecting the top of Washington's portrait, but there are no post-production distractions of note.
