- 1899 Barber Dime. Proof-65 Ultra Cameo (NGC). Very few coins of any type have merited the Ultra Cameo designation at NGC, with just over 2% of all the Proof Barber dimes called Ultra Cameo, a percentage consistent with that seen in other series. This specimen boasts unbroken, sparkly mint frost on the devices of both sides; the fully mirrored fields are noticeably finer on the reverse than on the obverse of this very gently toned Gem. PCGS# 94883. NGC Census: just 2; 4 finer within the designation (Proof-67 Ultra Cameo finest).
