The 1877-CC is an unsung rarity in the series. Only 8,680 were struck and the vast majority went into circulation, the typical survivor is either VF or XF. The presently offered coin has a good look and is at a price point that is in the budget of most advanced collectors. Displaying a pleasing greenish tinged golden hue, this coin is not the over processed "product" that often appears in the market place. There are a few minor ticks noted from its time in wild west commerce, but overall the surfaces are free from any distracting marks, lines, or hits. PCGS 17, NGC 22, CAC 4. The most recent XF45 to sell in auction was a non-CAC NGC graded coin that brought $6,169 in September 2017. No CAC coin has sold in auction, and the last PCGS coin sold six years ago!
