- A Gem Prooflike grade is rarely seen in a 1902 Morgan dollar, and this is the single finest example listed in the PCGS PL category. Semi-reflective overall, both sides of this gorgeous Gem also sport full striking detail and silky smooth surfaces. Wisps of pale silver and gold iridescence give way to brilliance as the coin dips into a light. "The 1902-P [sic] is very scarce in prooflike condition," as related by Wayne Miller in his celebrated Morgan and Peace Dollar Textbook. This one is unimprovable with this finish and belongs in the finest specialized Morgan dollar set.
