Description du lot: This is a wonderfully CHOICE and ORIGINAL 73-CC Trade dollar. This date is quite RARE in any Mint State grade and excessively so any finer than the presently offered MS63. Warm, varied shades of pewter, dove, slate, and battleship all meld with hints of lilac, olive, tan-russet, and gold that come out when rotated in a light source. The surfaces show some minor traces of contact, nothing that would interfere with the assigned grade. The eye appeal is excellent. PCGS 21, NGC 7. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $27,500 and while the most recent example sold for $16,200, we think this one is much more attractive and worthy of a stronger bid.
