Lot Description

1795 Flowing Hair Half Dime. LM-6. Rarity-6. Fine-15 (PCGS). This richly toned example is awash in a blend of steel gray and cobalt blue. The detail is well balanced for the assigned grade with all devices fully outlined and the entire design readily appreciable. A loupe reveals scattered pin scratches on the obverse, mentioned here solely for accuracy since the in hand appearance is relatively smooth. This is a scarce die marriage of the 1795 half dime with examples elusive at all levels of preservation. PCGS# 4251. NGC ID: 22ZV. Provenance: From the Catherine Bullowa Moore Collection.
