Lot Description

1766 Pitt Halfpenny Token. Betts-519, W-8350. Silvered Copper. EF-45 (NGC). A nicely centered deep brown specimen of this popular token issue that links the British colonies in America to one of Britain's most memorable statesmen and outspoken advocate of colonial rights. Traces of silvering remain throughout. Some soft surface roughness is present throughout, but no marks of consequence are noted. Strong design elements are present for the grade. PCGS# 239.
