Lot Description
1922 No D Lincoln Cent. FS-401, Die Pair II. Strong Reverse. AU-53 (PCGS). This is an exceptional About Uncirculated example of this scarce and conditionally challenging Lincoln cent variety. FS-401 is characterized by its sharp reverse detail, as here, but with little in the way of actual wear the present example also has bold to sharp definition on the obverse. Both sides are richly toned in copper-brown with a satiny texture and smooth-looking surfaces. The typical 1922 No D Cent is well circulated, highlighting the significance of the present offering for astute Lincoln cent enthusiasts. Provenance: From the Bimyway Collection. PCGS# 3285. NGC ID: 22C9. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
