1944-P Jefferson Nickel--Struck on a 5.94 Gram Planchet, Struck Through Reverse--MS-64 (PCGS). 5.94 grams. Dusted with delicate silvery tinting, this is frosty and sharply struck piece. The planchet stock was of sufficient size to allow perfect centering, as well as a full impression from the Jefferson dies. Our multiple offerings in this sale notwithstanding, major Mint errors on Wartime Jefferson nickels are very elusive due to the limited number of years in which this type was in production.
