1871-CC Liberty Head Half Eagle. Winter 1-A. Fine-15 (PCGS). Blended rose and honey-orange patina provides an attractively original appearance for this handsome Choice Fine example. Faint traces of luster persist in the fields, all major design elements boldly outlined and fully appreciable. With a generally smooth appearance in hand, this is an endearing circulated example of a scarce half eagle issue from the second year of Carson City Mint coinage.
