Lot Description

1850-C Liberty Head Quarter Eagle. EF-45 (PCGS). Light honey-gold surfaces with flickers of original semi-prooflike luster shining forth nicely as the surfaces rotate under a light. One of the more frequently encountered Charlotte Mint quarter eagles, the 1850-C is a strong candidate for inclusion in a mintmarked gold type set. Survivors from a mintage of 9,148 pieces are scarce in an absolute sense, nonetheless, and most grade no finer than the Choice EF offered here. PCGS# 7756. NGC ID: 25HH.
