Lot Description
THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION ELUSIVE in this lofty state of preservation. Although the date is readily available, the quantity of extant specimens in MS-64 and finer grades drop precipitously! Flashy cartwheel luster graces fields that are thankfully free of the die abrasion often associated with the date. Crisp, full delineated hair strands and eagle feathers are clear to the naked eye. Under magnification the only mark is a tiny scuff in the field adjacent to star 11. Pretty amber and gold halo toning creates a lovely frame to the piece. PCGS 8, NGC 6. A mere 6 pieces grade higher. PCGS Price Guide value is $3,500. The last piece to trade at auction was back May 2015 where it sold for $2,611. We expect some fierce bidding activity as this coin looks much nicer than the assigned grade and price spread to MS-65 is hefty! Cert. Number 21812367 PCGS # 6332.00
