1899-O Barber Quarter. MS-65 (PCGS). Brilliant satin-white surfaces are highly lustrous with a softly frosted finish. The strike is very sharp for a Barber quarter from the New Orleans Mint. Overall detail is full, in fact, and the eye appeal is exceptional. This is actually scarcer than the mintage of 2,644,000 pieces might imply, and we believe that most examples were lost to heavy commercial use.
