Losbeschreibung: This stunning SUPERB GEM is TIED FOR FINEST GRADED at PCGS! The eye appeal of this impressive jewel is beyond exceptional. Sharply struck devices stand out with razor sharp definition. A dusting of iridescent dove, gold, lilac, and pearly silver gleams when you rotate the satiny surfaces in a light. The obverse especially really pops! It is hard to imagine a finer example! Many collectors over the years preferred Christian Gobrecht's original design without the stars on the obverse as seen here. The design is more cameo like and balanced. Struck for only two years, this is a very popular type coin. PCGS 6, NGC 8. The most recent example to sell in auction was the Pogue coin, which brought $29,375 in March 2017. We sold a PCGS/CAC coin in our September 2016 Regency Auction for $20,563 and this coin will realize a strong bid. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $27,000 and there are NONE finer.
