THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION, PART IV A borderline Prooflike 1876-CC half dollar. Clearly, care was taken in polishing the dies before striking resulting in vivacious semi-reflective luster swirls over the brilliant silver surfaces. Sharply struck, and kissed with the slightest hint of iridescent gold, this coin has a great look. Just a tiny tick or two from a CHOICE grade, this is a fabulous centennial year Carson City mint half dollar. PCGS 27, NGC 15. The most recent example to sell in auction was the Navy Mustang Collection coin that sold in August 2022 for $4,800. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $3,500.
